Update on Skellow Broadband Outage
I’ve recently been supporting constituents in Skellow who have told me that they’ve been without broadband since 14th January – which is completely unacceptable.
Following my intervention, Openreach engineers are now on site repairing the damaged infrastructure. I’ve escalated complaints to Sky’s executive team, who will be contacting affected customers directly.
I’m also concerned that elderly residents have been without landlines for 3 weeks – their only form of communication. I’ve raised this urgently with Openreach.
In recent months, there have been similar issues of prolonged broadband outages and poor customer communication across Doncaster North. I will therefore be writing to the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology to raise these concerns on behalf of my constituents.
