Broadband Outage – Woodlands and Adwick Area
I have been contacted by several constituents in Woodlands and Adwick regarding the ongoing Virgin Media broadband outage that has left homes without internet connection since yesterday, with repairs not expected until 3rd February.
I understand the significant disruption this is causing, particularly for those working from home, residents whose security systems and CCTV are not functioning, and those without telephone services.
I have written to Virgin Media today to raise this matter on your behalf. I have asked them to take urgent action to restore services as quickly as possible, to provide information on what compensation will be available for affected customers, and to explain what measures they will put in place to prevent further outages. This is not the first time residents in this area have experienced significant service disruptions, and I have made clear that this pattern of unreliability is unacceptable.
