It was an absolute joy to join young constituents from The Ridge Employability College (TREC) at Martial Arts Doncaster, where they’re working towards their The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
I met the dedicated staff and volunteers who support this brilliant programme, along with John Egan, COO of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, who shared the remarkable impact DofE is having across the country and in Doncaster North.
Last year alone, 572,000 young people took part in DofE, contributing over 5 million volunteering hours to their communities – a powerful testament to how the programme inspires and develops young people.
Our talented young people in Doncaster North deserve opportunities to discover new passions, learn vital skills and give back to their community, and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award provides exactly that.
