Holocaust Memorial Day
Holocaust Memorial Day
Today we mark Holocaust Memorial Day. This is a very important day in which we remember the murder of 6 million Jews at the hands of the Nazis.
I am thinking of my grandfather, other members of my family who were killed and all of those who perished in the Holocaust. I mourn their loss and honour their memory.
I also vow to work to stamp out all forms of prejudice and evil. At a time when we see violent, murderous antisemitic attacks in our country and across the world, as well as other forms of hate, including Islamaphobia, it has never been more important to stand up for values of human dignity, solidarity and equality.
