Last week, I visited Adwick Park Hub to meet with the trustees to see the building’s foundations and to hear about the challenges the project has faced. It was great to meet with the team, and to discuss what can be done to make this vision a reality.
This hub will make a real difference to residents in Adwick and the surrounding area. I’m committed to supporting the team in getting this project over the line.
Unfortunately, as many of you will be aware, the site has suffered recent vandalism, causing significant setbacks and costs. I’m grateful that the police are working closely with the trustees to prevent further incidents and protect what will become a great community resource.
It was also brilliant to see the newly completed playground – a fantastic achievement thanks to Sarah Smith’s hard work when she was the councillor for Adwick and Carcroft. Families across the area now have a wonderful space to enjoy, and I know it will be well used for years to come.
