This Labour Budget delivers real change for our community, with fair choices that favour working people. Here are some key points for my constituents in Doncaster North 👇

Justice for Former Mineworkers:
£2.3 billion transferred to former British Coal staff – 41% pension increases for over 900 BCSSS members in Doncaster North.
Cutting the Cost of Living:
£150 off energy bills from April 2026, plus extra £150 through expanded Warm Home Discount
First freeze on rail fares in 30 years
Fuel duty frozen until August 2026
Free school meals expanded to all pupils whose parents receive Universal Credit
Tackling Child Poverty:
We’re removing the two-child limit in Universal Credit – benefiting an estimated 3,170 children in Doncaster North and lifting 450,000 children nationally out of poverty.
Supporting Workers:
Living wage up to £12.71/hour
18-20 year olds’ minimum wage up to £10.85/hour
State pension increasing 4.8%
Protecting Our High Street:
Permanently lower business rates for retail, hospitality and leisure – worth almost £900 million a year, plus stronger enforcement against illegal operations.

Labour is delivering the change we promised.
