For too long, places like Mexborough were overlooked. Promises were made by the previous Conservative government, and nothing came of them.
After 14 years of managed decline, this Labour Government is delivering for Mexborough. We’ve secured £20 million of long-term funding for Mexborough through Labour’s Pride in Place programme – £2 million every year for the next decade. And that’s alongside the Levelling Up funding for Mexborough High Street, which is now being put to work to revitalise the town.
The previous government promised money for Mexborough but never delivered. That changes under a Labour government. No more empty promises. Real change.
