Yesterday, along with councillors Austen White and Iris Beech, I met with Arriva to share constituents concerns about the bus service for Askern, Norton and Campsall.

We discussed how the changes to the route have left people isolated in their homes as the bus no longer serves their part of the village, as well as the length of time it takes for the bus to get to Doncaster. I expressed to Arriva that the current service for this area is not working for local people.

Mayor of South Yorkshire, Oliver Coppard, is holding a series of community events as part of his campaign for better bus services and I am working with him to ensure that an event can be held in Askern.

I will continue to work alongside Arriva and the Mayoral Combined Authority to press for a bus service that meets the needs of my constituents.
