Charlie Hogarth

It is with great sadness that I heard of the death of Charlie Hogarth, a true pillar of the Bentley community and a dedicated member of the Labour Party.

Charlie served Bentley as the ward councillor for over a decade, after working in the Bentley Collery in his earlier life. His tireless work on the Bentley Library will be one of his lasting legacies.

For me, Charlie’s greatest gift was his kindness. He knew everyone in Bentley, and his warmth and caring personality shone through. He had time for people, and that made him special.

Charlie was a good person, who had such a deep care for his community. Just two weeks ago, we had a lovely chat at our Doncaster North Labour Party event.

I feel so lucky to have known Charlie, worked with him and been his friend. I pass on my deepest condolences to all his family and friends.
