Since lock down, I’ve missed visiting local schools and catching up with staff and students. So, a big thank you to West Road Primary School in Moorends for inviting me to a ‘virtual visit’ today.
It was fantastic taking part in the assembly and seeing all the great work pupils have been doing. There were some brilliant presentations, particularly around climate action and the children’s roller coaster projects.
I know it’s been really difficult for families and schools to adapt to coronavirus but it’s inspiring to see how the school has managed to maintain enthusiasm amongst the children whilst keeping them safe.
I’m looking forward to being able to visit again in person!
