Ed met with students at Campsmount Academy who, inspired by student protests locally and internationally, have set up a group within their own school to look at environmental issues.

He was impressed by the students who, in less than a month, have assessed where school waste goes and how the school can decrease the amount of plastic consumed, looked into best practice across other schools and explored ways in which they can improve their local environment and community.

It’s so important that young people are engaged and able to contribute to climate action and this group is a real inspiration.
