Local MPs visit Doncaster Jobcentre

Earlier this month, Ed Miliband and Dame Rosie Winterton visited Doncaster’s Jobcentre to meet with managers to learn more about Universal Credit which rolled out in Doncaster in October 2017.

During the visit, the MPs had the opportunity to discuss their concerns about changes to the welfare system and to highlight issues raised with them by constituents. Rosie and Ed also spoke with employees about Universal Credit and heard from local constituents who are currently being supported in finding work.

Ed said “Many of my constituents will be affected by changes to the benefit system with the introduction of Universal Credit and I want to ensure people in Doncaster get the support they need.”
