Footballer Bruce signs Ed for fun festival

EM_and_Bruce_Dyer.jpgA fun day and football tournament organised by a former Doncaster Rovers striker has made a new signing – Ed.

He will open the Love Life UK Festival, being held in Bentley Park, DN5 0EW, on Saturday June 11, from 1pm.

It has been organised by former footballer Bruce Dyer (pictured above with Ed), who made 15 appearances for Rovers between 2006 and 2008.

He also played for Crystal Palace and Barnsley.

The event will feature live music, including Janine Dyer, who appeared on BBC’s The Voice.

There will also be a 5-a-side football tournament, open to all, with the winning team facing an “All Stars” line-up featuring Mr Dyer, former Rovers players Brian Stock, Gordon Greer and Barry Miller and former Premier League stars Clinton Morrison and Michael Johnson.

Entry to the festival is free, but there is a £50 per team cost for the football tournament – which can be booked online at www.lovelifeukfestival.com.

Ed said: “It will be a fantastic day with a great deal going on, including football, music and lots of other entertainment. I’d encourage everyone in Bentley, and beyond, to come along and join in.”
