Ed visits local food bank

On Friday 26 January, Ed visited Mexborough Food Bank at Mexborough Family Hub.

During the visit Ed spoke to regular users of the food bank who were struggling to make ends meet. Since its launch in 2015, Mexborough Food Bank has produced over 1,750 food parcels, helping local families.

Ed said “It is wrong that so many people rely on food banks. I will continue to do all that I can to support my constituents who sadly have to use them.

I want to say a huge thank you to the volunteers who give up their spare time to help out and to the local residents, schools and businesses for donating this much needed food – this support really makes a difference.”
